Products and consultation within functional surface coatings

Materials and processes
The materials that MWA Coatings has knowledge of are fluoropolymer systems, silicones and other polymer coatings. We also have knowledge about metallic- and ceramic materials and carbides. The processes used for polymers are spraying, dipping and rolling. For metallic and ceramic materials, thermic spraying and laser cladding is used.

Our broad network of contacts and long experience from the manufacturing industry mean that we can help you with solutions within:

  • Reduced or increased friction
  • Release coatings
  • Solutions for wear and corrosion
  • Chemical protection

Products

MWA Coatings has also developed a range of proprietary products to meet our customers' needs.

MWA Release is a water-based silicone epoxy coating with low VOC. It fits applications where optimum release/non-stick capability is needed. For example:

  • Rolls
  • Stretch presses
  • Splashbacks
  • Sieves
  • Cisterns
  • Slide rails
  • Wear rails
  • Fixtures

Unlike other silicone epoxy coatings, MWA Release is a block copolymer, which means that you don't have to worry about the silicone migrating or contaminating other materials. MWA Release attaches perfectly to almost all materials including wood, metal and plastic. It does not need heat treatment to cure, it cures already at room temperature!

The application process is very easy and in most case a primer is not needed. You can simply spray, brush or roll a layer of topcoat on to the surface.

MWA Release is highly rated for its corrosion resistance and protects in most environments. It is available in any color and also with a matte or glossy finish.
